Where do I live? A beautiful island called Lismore
Who with? I live with my man Yorick, and my 2 sweet boys and our cat poppy, cat Bashy and cat Spyro.
What do I do there? Water veggies in the polytunnel, loads of mopping up, picking up clothes, cooking and washing dishes. The rest of the time I’m in a blissfull state in my studio making things out of wool and designing the next must have (in my head!) and a lot of cycling to and fro
My favourite Books: Right now…empowerment books like “The power of now” and “The Secret”, but also John Fowles “The Magus” and “The kite runner” and I love the “Tao of Poo”
My Favourite films: Babettes feast, Wings of desire and The colour of Pomegranites.
My favourite music: Bach cello suites for designing, Dolly parton for making (especially her album Little Sparrow), Teddy Thompson and loads of other stuff!
And before Lismore? I worked in Brazil, studied textiles in London and sang lots of jazz.
There you go!!
xx Sarah

Hi Sarah! Your fabric arrived just before my sweetheart husband took the hint and started to make over my sewing room! I’m itching to start work, flooring is being laid, furniture is part assembled all over the house and HOW did I get all that ‘stuff’ in the room before!!!!!
Comment by jill January 26, 2009 @ 11:35 amItchy fingered, but happy to touch the fabric!

Comment by kate January 2, 2010 @ 3:48 amHello – i hope you don’t mind but I tweeted some of your blog posts today about CE testing. We had an email exchange a while back over my sock bunnies and you gave me phone numbers etc of who to contact. It has come back round again now for me and I’m having to look into it all over again. The trouble is the socks – Grrrrr. A few of my online pals make things from socks so I tweeted your posts for help for them. Shame about the button eyes but I love the little flowers instead! I saw you at Top Drawer (i think) a while ago but you were engrossed in a customer so didn’t introduce myself in case it was a large order on its way to you

Comment by sheri July 15, 2010 @ 5:36 pmHi Sarah, I have been looking for an embroider for a while and just chanced upon your site, your stuff is beautiful! I am an upholsterer and am just branching out, away from commissions into doing my own pieces and would love to find someone to collaborate with. I have a chair almost finished but just needing three chaffinches to grace the arm, back and a matching cushion! Would you be interested? I do hope so as your work is exactly what I had in mind!
