Today I have been making cushions for a shop in London out of this yummy spicy green felt.
The colour is so scrumptuous and it keeps changing depending on the light. I normaly work with a felted weave but this is pressed pure wool felt. Great quality, no pilling…takes me back actually to the old pressed felt days.
I have about 2 1/2 metres to work with so i’ve cut the pieces for 8 cushions and one bag. I’m looking forward to seeing the collection when done. I’ll take a picture for you before they head off.
The other job today was an etsy order for a love nest brooch. Now packaged and sent.
All in a days work!

The hedgehogs are everywhere, dosily ambling about stuffed with slugs and snails. They have no predators on the island (ie foxes) so they thrive. Some think they’re a bain. I love them.
My son Ruben was doing work experience at the local vet during the summer and someone brought in a pet hedgehog with a growth on its leg. It was hugely overweight. Apparently she had fed her previous hedgehog on marshmallows…what!!

Today’s project is making a roman grass blind in chocolate for customer Fletcher. I thought I’d take a couple of pics on the way.
From now on I’m going to keep you up to date with the work I do each day. Watch this space!
